How much does birth control cost at Planned Parenthood??

';First, you鈥檒l need to get a prescription. Visit a Planned Parenthood health center, a clinic, or a private health care provider for a prescription. Your health care provider will discuss your medical history with you, check your blood pressure, and give you any other medical exam that you may need. If you need an exam, it may cost about $35鈥?250.

Birth control pills may be purchased with a prescription at a drugstore or clinic. They cost about $15鈥?50 a month.

Medicaid and private health insurance may cover the pill. Family planning clinics usually charge less than private health care providers.';

You see, a birth control pill is a Rx drug. It cannot just be given out like aspirin. It cannot be completely free, especially being that a doctor must be involved in the situation.

Another thing to consider, is that birth control is NOT 100% effective. Also, you do need to wear a condom anyway to protect against any chance of getting STDs. You may not want to think about it, but you need to if you are choosing to have sex. Also, keep in mind that if you are in a sexual relationship, that you do need to get tested. There are some viruses that can be transmitted through a condom. Herpes, genital warts, and public lice (crabs) all be can contracted through vaginal intercourse with a condom. Using a condom in the midst of anal sex really does no good. Everything can still be transmitted with a condom during anal sex. Herpes and genital warts can still be transmitted with a condom during oral sex as well. Please, be carful.How much does birth control cost at Planned Parenthood??
