How can I get restaurant employees to care about cost control?

Make sure that you include cost controls as key performance indicators for formal review as you could end up on the wrong end of an unfair dismissal claim.





I am a great believer in telling it like it is with staff and having things like the budget v actual costs as part of your weekly team meetings. Organisations who adopt this policy top the best places to work charts and have the highest staff retention figures and profits, fact.





Keep it simple, catch people doing things right, reward positive behaviour and lead by example.How can I get restaurant employees to care about cost control?
give written warnings to those how violate cost control rules....





or





have them share in some type of bonus when cost control nbrs


get back in line....





you can't make anyone ';care'; about anything....just deal with facts
