How much does it usually cost to replace a lower control arm for a car?

Call your local parts store, get a price and then call a local garage (or a few and get estimates). My husband is a mechanic and usually does work for people for less than they would pay anywhere else. But if your car is new and still under warranty you have to take it to the dealership or it will void the warranty. Try to find someone who guarantees their work otherwise. How much does it usually cost to replace a lower control arm for a car?
What kind of car (year, make, model) Are you doing it yourself or having it done?

This is a VERY difficult question to answer even with the car information because it could be more then just the control arm, there can be problem in removing it.

If you want an accurate answer give MUCH more information. How much does it usually cost to replace a lower control arm for a car?
an arm and a leg i think
If you mark everything before disassembly, you shouldn't need an alignment. The arm should cost under 30 bucks. The hardest part will be getting the bolts out. If you are a little crazy like me, you can cut the ends off of the new control arm and cut the old one as close to the ends as you can and weld the new one in. Only in as a last resort if the bolts are rusted into the bushings and impossible to get out. Length is a little critical so try to get it within a 1/8'; difference.
As a collision shop manager, it depends on if it is a front or a rear lower control arm. The labor for removing a front or a rear lower control arm should not exceed 1.5 hours labor at the prevailing rate for your area. Keep in mind that you will have to do a 4 wheel alignment when replacing this because you will change the geometrics of the wheelbase any time you change out a suspension part. This will ultimately affect your tire wear and handling if the proper specifications are not reset.
You will need more than a control arm, Alignment comes next and they will try to sell you other things- when you done probably $300 to 400 bucks .
Should be around $300-$400 give or take
