Which birth control option would cost the least?

My fiance and I do not want to have children together and we are thinking about what the least expensive birth control option would be in the long run. How much does a vasectomy cost and how much would birth control pills cost for 30 years?Which birth control option would cost the least?
The most reliable would be vasectomy or tubal or even both if you want no more children ever with anyone. Pills are about between $10-60 a month atleast for the ones my friends have tried without insurance, many insurance companies are now covering them. If you have insurance you may want to find out what they would cover and how much your would have to pay on the different methods. If you add up the monthly cost of pills for 30 years it will come to the same if not more than the cost of actually getting the vasectomy or tubal done and most of my nieces and nephews were actually created while my sisters were on the pill so just keep that in mind too. I would make an appt with the GYN and discuss your options. Not every birthcontrol method is for everyone. If you are perfectly healthy you have all the options but if you smoke or have high bloodpressure, heart problems, family history or strokes or strokes yourself.....things like that then you would be more limited on what would be safe. Also it depends on your age as well.Which birth control option would cost the least?
Birth control is only as expensive as you make it. A lot of women are under the impression that they HAVE to buy the $40 birth control and this is NOT true! I personally go to Planned Parenthood. When I first started going I paid only $30 for a gyno visit and $8 for my birth control pill. Planned Parenthood decides their prices based on your income, so you CAN find very affordable birth control. And now (at least in IL) congress has passed the Well Woman program, where women can get FREE (yes, you heard it first), free birth control from their Planned Parenthood. It's very nice to be able to walk into the clicnic, tell them my name, show them my well woman slip, and get the free birth control. I would suggest this to any women who need birth control.
you could get an iud which is 600 and lasts 5 years... and may be covered under insurance... most birth control under insurance you will still have to pay a $20-$30 co pay each month. An IUD is better protection than the pill. I dont think you shoudl have your fiance get a vasectomy just incase you both change your mind one day or either of you changes your minds about each other one day!
Make sure he is on board for the vasectomy.

Your least costly birth control method that is reversible is IUD. If you want other ideas, repost your question in women's health.
Abstinence is free, and it works 100% of the time. After that, the vasectomy would be the cheapest over the long haul. What do you want to bet your fiance will not do that though?
its free at planned parenthood and a womens friend, you can google places where u can get it free.
