Does most insurance cover the cost of birth control?

Just wondering because I might get some.Does most insurance cover the cost of birth control?
Depends on the insurance, you need to call them directly. Every insurance is different.Does most insurance cover the cost of birth control?
Usually you have to pay out of pocket at the pharmacy anywhere from 5 to 20 dollars for the pill, patch, or ring. It just depends on your policy. But most won't cover the cost of other things, like IUD's, or permanent methods of birth control, like getting your tubes tied.
Yes they will. Most cover pills but sometimes not other types.
yes, but you need to look into it. most of the time they would rather pay for bc than a pregnancy
yes
if its birth control, then no they wont. (trust me I have been fighting it for years!!) My insurence company is finally covering my birth control because I have really bad PMS. I have tumors in my breasts so at that special time of month they swell and cause alot of pain. The birth control has eliminated the pain, therefore the insurence covers it. because its for medical, not recreational.
I don't know of any insurance that wont cover it, but I'm sure that there is that rare one out there. Even medicaid offers a family planning part of their services for women of all different ages. I guess they realize that it's better to cover birth control rather than an entire pregnancy.

If you happen to have one that doesn't cover it (doubt you do) then you can always go to your local health department or planned parenthood. They offer it for free. If you are sexually active and not ready for a baby the ';might'; should go right out the window. You should go right away, before the next time you have sex.
The *might* concerns me...yes it should be covered
depends on the insurance

if it isn't covered you can make an appointment at a planned parenthood and get birth control for free
