and the ironic thing is, it would only take one sentence to change the law.............'loser pays' court and attorney fees !!!!Why is there little if any talk about tort reform as a part of cost control in health care reform?
that could also be considered, but i figure one thing at a time, loser pays option starts to sidestep the abuse immediately. caps on the other would take longer due to the technicality of each circumstance. but all options are on the table with me. thanks and good question.

Washington is made of Lawyers and this would destroy their business.
i can assure you any kind of reform will include the ability of lawyers to remain in business.
Tort reform would solve a lot of the costs yet it has never been seriously considered.
Obama=lawyer
Frank=lawyer
Kennedy =lawyer
I see a pattern.
Owners who have GM vehicles will not be able to sue if a defect causes death or injury so you can bet there will be tort reform.
Because John Edwards still needs to make a living driving up the cost of health care so he can blame it on Conservatives while screwing everything in sight as his cancer stricken wife sits home with the kids!
because most of our elected representatives ARE lawyers. they're not about to kill their golden, corrupt, goose.
Are you kidding? Tort reform by the people who most benefit from tort litigation? You'll see flying pigs first.
