How much do generic birth control pills cost?

I have Endometriosis and I was paying $70 per month for Seasonique. I went to Planned Parenthood and it was only $30 per month but they were incredibly demeaning and kept asking if I wanted to buy condoms. I am not sexually active.

Anyways, about how much per month does a generic birth control pill cost? I take it continuously so I want something cheap. I am poor and on a budget. My insurance won't cover BCP unless I have a laparascopy first.

Also, are generic versions a lot worse or of low quality? Or are they basically the same?

Generic medication must be bioequivalent to the name brand, otherwise the FDA would not approve it. Walmart and Target do have the $4 generic drug program but it doesn't include birth control. Sprintec and tri-sprintec (generic for Ortho cyclen and Ortho Tri Cyclen) are only $9/pack, though, so it's still pretty cheap. Just ask your Dr. whether these choices are OK for you.How much do generic birth control pills cost?
You can get most generic oral contraceptives for $15 - $20 dollars. Just call around to some pharmacies and ask what the price range is for certain generics. There is no generic for Seasonique, though, so you'll have to check with your doc about an appropriate substitute.
I would call your local hospital %26amp; see if they offer prescription assistant programs.

I understand about clinics. I went to a clinic for a check up. They didn't believe me when I said no drugs, alchol, or sex history.
you can get Ortho Tri Cyclen for about $28
