How much does it cost to retrofit cruise control?

I'm planning on taking a long trip this summer in my '96 sonoma, and it would be a lot easier if I had cruise control. Does anyone know how much a kit would cost/where to find it, and possibly how much to get it installed?How much does it cost to retrofit cruise control?
Obviously, it depends a lot on your car. In general the kits cost anywhere between $60 and $300.

One other option is to find a salvage yard with the same model car WITH cruise. Strip that off and put it on yours. I have no idea of the cost since it depends on the yard.

they are very easy to install and work quite well i have several i installed on my older autos and love them look on ebay or yahoo auctions i have sold several of them for around 100 dollars and they can be installed by average person
You can purchase Aftermarket Kits for almost any vehicle. However you ae looking at around $300-$400 installed.
